The meteorologist of Civil Protection and of the faculty of Marine Sciences of the UdeC, Arturo González reported that this phenomenon itself is due to the winter-summer transition process, which brings a greater thermal sensation in the environment, that will be rising gradually with minimum temperatures of 27 degrees (80.6 F) to above 36 degrees (96.8 F)as maximum in the shade.

González Hernández mentioned that in spite of the fact that light gusts of wind have been presented, is foretold that this summer will be one of the warmest of recent years; this phenomenon is called “period of return”, that is to say, the weather events that were presented 10 or 12 years, are presented again, like part of the frequency of the behavior of the atmosphere.

During the month of August we will have the highest temperatures all the way till the month of October, in which they will return heavier, due to the quantity of humidity of the evaporation that accumulates all the year.

Starting the month of November, the climate will become more pleasant, since the temperature will begin to descend, leading to the winter season.

There are three different kinds of DENGUE: dengue fever, hemorrhagic fever, hemorrhagic shock.

The dengue fever is a serious illness of flu type that affects the older children and adults, but rarely time cause the death. On the other hand, the fever hemorrhagic fever (FHD) is another more serious form, in which can happen unexpectedly hemorrhages and at times a state of shock, that can carry to the death.

The symptoms of the fever of fever vary according to the age and the general state of health of the patient. The nursing and the small children can present a picture of fever and eruption similar to the measles, but difficult to differentiate of a flu state, an eruptive illness, the malaria, the infectious hepatitis and other feverish illnesses.

Characteristics of the dengue fever: The clinical demonstrations depend on the age of the patient. The nursing and preschools can suffer a feverish illness with reddish spots in the skin. In the older children and the adults the picture can vary since a light feverish illness accompanied by muscular pains and absence of respiratory symptoms.Even after the fever has passed the patient needs to be resting for a couple of days.

Summarizing, the most common symptoms are:

* High Fever.
* Headache in the frontal zone.
* Pain behind the eyes that increases with ocular movements.
* Muscular Pains and joints (“fever osprey”)
*Lack of appetite and difficulties in the sense of the flavor.
* Eruption of blemishes or pápules in thorax and lower members.
* Naushes and vomiting.

Characteristics of the Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever:
* Fever or antecedent of recent fever
* Hemorrhages shown at least by: 1) small hemorrhages under the skin or purple spots, 2) hemorrhage in the mucous membranes of the digestive system or place of infection.
* Decrease of platelets (less than 50,000 by mm3)
* Hematocrit equal or over the 20% of the average for the age and population to be considered.

* Characteristic of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever Shock:

Signs of circulatory shortage appear:

- Cold skin with Lividness and congested
- Sometimes there might be a blue color around the mouth.
-Tachycardia (rapid and weak pulse).

Sharp abdominal pain is a little frequent before the shock, that has a duration of (12 to 24 hrs). If the picture is not corrected quickly, this can give rise to a more complicated evolution with metabolic acidosis, cerebral hemorrhage, convulsions and comma.

1) Wear long clothing when in an infected tropical area. The virus is spread to humans through bites from the Aedes aegypti mosquito, which feeds during the day. Long clothing, such as pants and long-sleeved shirts, reduce the amount of exposed skin and lower the chances of a mosquito bite and subsequent transmission of the disease.

2) Use insect repellent to reduce the risk of an infecting bite. Apply the repellent to all exposed skin including the back of the neck, which is a popular place for mosquito bites.

3) Consider sleeping in a mosquito net especially when in less developed countries and regions. Though the Aedes aeqypti mosquito feeds during the day, a mosquito net can limit the risks of a bite at night or a bite by another disease-carrying insect.

4) Control the mosquito population with the use of insecticides through regular spraying around the area you spend the most time outdoors.

Tuesday April 20th 2010 will be a memorable day in the lives of many people that live in Manzanillo.
It was the first time that a cruise ship docks in the new pier in downtown Manzanillo.

RADIANCE OF THE SEAS part of Royal Caribean arrived around 6am on Tuesday and already many people where waiting for the ship to dock and start taking pictures of that great and memorable view!

RADIANCE OF THE SEAS had around 2500 passengers and let me tell you, this is he first time that I see so many of them getting down the ship and walking to go shopping downtown Manzanillo.

Some say that this new pier in Downtown has its Pro’s and Con’s. They say that its good because now the passengers are going to be closer to the shopping area and that will increase sales but on the other hand, tour guides think that this will lower their work because now the visitors will have more things to do on their own, withing walking distance.

I guess we will have to wait and see until the next cruise ships comes to Manzanillo.

Located on the north side of Manzanillo on the last peninsula is La Boquita Beach.

If you are looking for a beach where you and your kids can enjoy calm ocean and soft waves while you eat some fresh sea food, listed to live bands or even mariachi and drink a margarita or a Coco Loco and for your kids you can find Ice cream and fresh fruit then you are in the right place.

La Boquita offers a variety of things to do, we can say that you can spend the whole day there because you have great food, great views, snorkel, river, hotels, drinks, souvenirs, live music, ocean and best of all good service and prices.

In order to get there you will have to enter through Club Santiago, at the toll booth just tell them that you are going to La Boquita, follow the signs. You will drive for a bout 10 minutes from the entrance of Club Santiago till La Boquita Beach, once there look for Tanilos Ramada, our favorite restaurant for fresh sea food, they have a parking lot for their customers. Or you can park your car almost at the end of the road, next to the river and rent a umbrella with chairs for about $10 dlls. for the whole day.

The principal motive for which Wings Army was created was for the taste that had towards the business line of different and thematic meal that did not exist in Mexico.

To combine wings, seasonings, beers imported with a military touch, they are the different option where they offer themselves a variety of flavors for the demanding Mexican taste. The idea was born from a study of mergers: environment, wings and diversion.

As soon as they analyzed the different concepts of meal that exist in this country, the presentation and diversity of the saucers, it was created a proper concept of restaurant of Wings. Overcoming all the necessary tests of flavors, smells, textures, music, images and others, the first exemption was founded in Guadalajara on May 8, 2005.

Wings is the fundamental and distinctive part of the mark Wings Army, for it the 14 flavors leave a flavor that evokes memories to whom he tastes them. Between the flavors there are the spicy ones ORIGINAL HOT, BOMB, MILD, CAJUN and BBQ HOT, which take a sweet touch as that of TAMARINDO, SMOKED, HAWAIIAN, TERIYAKI, HONEY and MUSTARD, and the different ones, as the LEMON PEPPER, GARLIC PARMESAN, HAPPY OYSTER and SPICE and CREAM. Briefly, at any time a few wings and every certain period take a fancy, new saucers offer. It is necessary to mention, that we provide the best stock of marks of beers of the world.
